Technical description |
Neutral ethyl alcohol of “superior grade” resulting from yeast fermentation of agricultural substrates (beets or wheat) followed by distillation and rectification. The alcohol used in cosmetics and perfumery is a denatured alcohol at a level of 0.1% according to French customs regulations. In other words, this alcohol is made unfit for human consumption. Indeed, it has a very unpleasant bitter taste if you try to drink it.
