Botanical description |
The bergamot tree is a small tree that reaches a height of 3 to 4 m, and has been mainly cultivated in Italy, in the Calabria region, since the 18th century. It is said to be the result of a fortuitous cross between a green lemon tree and a bitter orange tree.
