Botanical description | This perennial flowering plant grows to about 1 m tall and 1 m wide. It has a long taproot. It produces a gum resin called galbanum which is harvested by making incisions in the stem. |
Olfactory description | Its colorless to amber yellow essential oil, extracted from the gum, gives off a green and balsamic odor. |
